You will
- You will know what the House has
- You will find the guide for each part
The House of Tea and Madness is a social place with the algorithm taken out: your friends, your rooms, your own page. These guides show each part as it looks inside and how to use it. Solnyxus builds and runs the House.
- Your Stream: Your friends and the rooms you chose, in the order they spoke.
- Your Node: Who you are in the House: your portrait, pen name, bio and links.
- Your page: A page that is yours: the House lays one out for you, or build your own.
- Build it like a room: Drag sections and columns, drop in pictures, galleries, quotes, your corridor, your own HTML and CSS.
- Your page, out the door: Show your public sections at teaandmadness.com/@you, only if you want to.
- Rooms that run themselves: Every room has its own council, elected by the people in it.
- The Library: Six books by Daedalus Publius, the essays, and the writers of the House.
- A quiet place to read: Long pieces in a reader made for reading, not scrolling.
- Meetings, not messages: Private conversations and group tables, with honest read receipts.
- The Demiurge: The House’s record of contribution: never cash, never the price of anyone’s worth.
- The Vicinagora: The assembly: the rooms’ elections and the public log.
- Make it yours: The House’s look, to your taste: theme, density, accent, the cursor lantern, the words.
Privacy, built in
- No algorithm, no ads. Nothing ranks your Stream, and nobody pays to be in it.
- No tracking. No behavioural profiles. What the House keeps is what it needs to run.
- Pictures without the camera’s notes. Every picture is drawn again on the way in, so a photo never says where it was taken.
- Pages that can’t be turned on you. A member’s page lives in a sealed frame: nothing on it runs, nothing reaches out.
- Signed, in the open. Your actions carry your own key; stewards’ actions go on the public log with their reasons.
- A person at the door. Every request to join is read by a person.
